Help Bethesda Roosters Youth Rugby Build More

At Bethesda Roosters Youth Rugby, we believe rugby greatness starts at the grassroots level. Our home club is where players learn the game, build confidence, develop skills, and become part of a community. As our players grow, we want to give them opportunities to develop as players, coaches, referees, mentors, and leaders, and bring those experiences back to Roosters and the broader rugby community.

We are shooting for the moon and our goal: Raise $75,000 to invest in our players and the future of our program and here is our plan:

$3,000 — Referee Certification Scholarships
Help our players become USAR-certified referees, developing leadership skills, a deeper understanding of the game, and respect for officials. Refereeing can also provide income and valuable skills beyond rugby while helping grow the next generation of the game.

$3,000 — Coaching Certification Scholarships
Great programs need great coaches. Your support helps our volunteer coaches earn certifications and develop the skills to provide knowledgeable, positive coaching while building stronger leaders and a stronger rugby community.

$3,000 — Player & Family Scholarships
Cost should never be a barrier to playing rugby. These funds help provide financial assistance so more kids can participate, develop, and be part of our community.

$6,000 — Young Glory High Performance Academy Scholarships
We want players who qualify for Young Glory High Performance Academy to have access to high-level coaching and competition regardless of their family's financial circumstances. Our goal is to help players pursue higher-level opportunities while remaining connected to their home club and bringing that experience back to the Roosters community.

$60,000 — International Rugby Experience
International rugby is another important part of our vision for player development. It gives players the chance to experience new cultures, different styles of play, and new challenges while building lifelong friendships and independence.

Our goal for 2027 is to take Bethesda Roosters players to Paris in June 2027 for the Paris World Games, giving our U14-19 the opportunity to represent their club, experience the world, and see where rugby can take them. This tour is not just about travel—it is part of our commitment to creating experiences that challenge our players to grow on and off the field and show them what is possible through rugby.

Every Donation Helps

Whether you give $5, $10, $50, $100, $500, or more, your contribution helps create opportunities that can make a lasting difference in a young person's life. Every dollar raised goes back into our club and our players—supporting scholarships, coach and referee development, equipment, outreach, and opportunities like our international rugby tour.

Support Roosters Through Your Business

Local businesses can help us grow the next generation of rugby players and leaders. As a nonprofit organization, eligible contributions may be tax-deductible. Businesses that contribute $500 or more will also be recognized on the Roosters website as a community supporter.

If your employer offers a matching gift program, your donation may be eligible to be matched—potentially doubling your impact.

Whether you're a Roosters family, alumni, friend, or local business, your support helps us give more kids the opportunity to play, grow, lead, and see where rugby can take them.
